Today my job along with Shelby and Danielle was clearing out a pile of cement and broken bricks. Our job was to sort through the pile and pull out all the big pieces and carry buckets of the pile downstairs and out front.

I enjoyed this day so much and was so thankful for each moment, for waking up to see the sunrise, for singing children's Sunday school songs like Jesus Loves the Little Children, This Little Light of Mine, and many, many more, for hearing laughter, and for looking off the roof and seeing other teams holding the babies and chasing around energetic toddlers.

The other day during devotions we were talking about learning to enjoy each and every moment of your life because once a moment is over it can't be re-lived.

Today I was given a choice. I could either choose to make the most out of dripping sweat and carrying heavy buckets by singing Sunday school songs and joking around with my teammates or I could choose to wish the moment away by counting down the hours until we were finished.

I'm really guilty of wishing away my time. There has been many weeks which seemed to be lasting forever and I would think to myself if it could just be the weekend, instead of enjoying each moment.

So my closing thought for this blog is a reminder to enjoy every moment. Make the most out of whatever comes your way, because once a moment is over is can't be re-lived.

In Christ,
Cayla
