This Friday I will have been in the Philippines for one month, and I have realized that this is only my second blog post since coming here and living at the children's home. I've also come to realize now that I am four months in it no longer feels like a trip, but it feels like life to me and the idea that at the end of this ill be back in Pennsylvania again, feels like some far off dream.
I've become okay with making my home wherever God leads me and these three months in the Philippines He has led me to make my home at the children's home. Life here has been a learning process, ministry here looks different from my last three months but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Since no two days of my life look the same here this is just a list of a few things that went on this week:
Monday: after spending the morning with the kids I was able to go out
with some of my teammates here and get some Christmas presents for the kids ( one haul of many! ) being in AC for a few hours and getting a peppermint mocha wasn't too bad either.
Tuesday: we started cutting snowflakes with the kids here and I can honestly say I've never been covered in sweat while cutting snow flakes out before in my life.
Wednesday: I got to watch most of the older kids perform in a Christmas
program at their school, they all did a great job. I couldn't be prouder of them.
Thursday: I went to a family day with the kids for school, super cool to just get to hang out with some of the kids.
That is just some of the moments I get to be apart of here in The Philippines.
In Christ,
Cayla
