Just to give you an update about what has been going on in my life.

This year has already brought so much change to my life and I have a feeling it will continue to do so. I have learned so much already. Things like it is okay to not have everything figured out, that Jesus will provide, and that I cannot control every area of my life because It was not meant to be just my life in the first place. I have learned that you don’t have to be perfect and have everything all together to follow Jesus, you just have to be willing and He will take your willingness and use you to do things that go beyond what you think you are able to do. He will take your weakness; He will give you His strength during hard times so that through the process of serving Him, His light will shine through you. He will take you to the places which need the light the most, because light shines brightest in the darkness. He will give you the words to say when you need them. He will hear your every thought and prayer. He will go before you and He will be there for you every step along the way.

He will use you to do the unthinkable.

Honestly if someone would have told me a few months ago that in September I would be going to Central America, Southeast Asia, and Africa for nine months and I needed to raise $11,900 in order to go I would look at them like they were crazy, but now I’m pretty sure when I give people that response when they ask if I’m going to college in the fall they think I’m the crazy one and I’m learning that it is okay to be the crazy one. I feel called to missions and having that call is great, but when I am asked to respond to it and act on it I am full of excuses and reasons as to why I am not sure if this trip is for me or if even going in to missions is right for me. 

But, I only need one reason why it is for me and that answer is simple serving Jesus is worth being unsure of where He will take you and what you will have to do because He is worth it.
