My squad and I arrived safely to Tegucigalpa, Honduras on Tuesday the 10th.

Since Tuesday we have been staying at Zion's Gate Ministries and will be ALL together until Monday the 16th and then we will find out our ministries and split half and half. I am SO excited to see how God will move in our lives and the people of Honduras's life.

I want to share something I wrote in my journal the first day I was in Honduras.

"I want to bring stories of this beautiful country and these beautiful people home with me" I believe that behind every face is a story that is waiting to be told. Yesterday these words came to life…..

My team and I of seven girls got the chance to be part of someone's story…

We decided that for team time we would walk around the grounds of Zion's Gate and pray over it. We started our walk and a man carrying groceries and a woman holding a baby were passing by. The man motioned us to come to him. We walked over and he started to talk to us. We weren't always sure what he was saying since no one out of the seven of us is fluent in Spanish. We offered to carry his groceries home for him. By this time the lady and her baby had left. As we walked we passed a restaurant and he offered to buy all of us a drink (soda or juice) He knew we could barely understand him, but he kept on talking. He wanted us to see his house and meet the lady and baby, who we found out was his wife and daughter. After we finished our drinks we walked to his house which was a journey in and of itself. When we finally got to the mans house we met his wife and daughter. His daughter was such a happy baby and brought joy to me and my team. We couldn't stay very long because we needed to be back to the grounds by dark. The whole time we were at his house he was so hospitable. Upon leaving my team prayed over his wife and daughter. He had been outside so we found him and prayed over him too, we all put our hands around each other and then after we finished he pulled us closer and began to pray for us in spanish in the middle of his prayer he began to cry. He was so thankful for us and that we took the time to listen to what he had to say even if we could barely understand it. As we left my team and I were just in such awe of how Gods plans for our team time was so different from our plans for our team time. We hope to be able to visit this man and his family again.

This is one of those stories I want to share with others around me.

In Christ,

Cayla
